The vintage appointments include a spruce VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM® (VTS) top, a dovetail neck joint, and natural protein glue construction, giving it the rich, fully aged Martin tone that has inspired generations. Gordon Smith 50th Anniversary
In its 50th anniversary year, British production guitar maker Gordon Smith is moving into a new workshop and expanding its already broad range with a brace of new designs. Lars chats with Director Doug Sparks to find out more.
Orange Amps with Technical Director Ade Emsley.
Ade joined Orange way back in 1998. In the past 16 years his contributions to the company have been endless, but his most notable is likely the Tiny Terror, which is considered one of the most important amps of all time and set the stage for the entire “lunchbox amp” craze. Orange amps have been a favourite among guitar players of all levels.
BAD CAT AMPS
Lars talks with Matt about the Cub Amp which is among the original of the US Bad Cat designs. This hand wired boutique amp is highly desirable and been used on countless stages and recordings over the years. A single channel amplifier now with two gain modes, the updated original Cub circuitry is accessed in clean mode, while the overdriven mode features a newly voiced, more aggressive side to the Cub.

Lars chats with UK guitarist Chris Buck
Chris Buck is a UK blues rock guitarist and songwriter from Newport, South Wales. He started playing guitar at the age of 13. He is best known for his ‘pick and fingers’ technique and as the winner of Music Radar’s prestigious Best New Guitarist award in 2017. Phil X is a prolific session guitarist, having played on albums by Tommy Lee, Methods of Mayhem, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Orianthi and Since 2013, he has played lead guitar with Bon Jovi and officially replaced former lead guitarist Richie Sambora in 2016.

Luthier Fred Kopo who has been building instruments since 1998 in Bretagne, France. Over the years, Fred has focused on steel or nylon string acoustic guitars, while remaining open to the creation of all types of stringed instruments, whether basses or electric guitars, violins or electro basses.

MATTHEW BELLAMY MB PROFILE GUITAR
The MB profile guitar release for the show comes with a Floyd Rose, and fully loaded with the sustainiac system and an additional in house custom pickup Manson PF1 and a Z.Vex USA Fuzz Factory built in. It has a figured roast maple neck and a dry satin black finish to the body.
Manson’s can trace its roots all the way back to the 60s when Hugh’s brother, Andy Manson, decided to build his first acoustic guitar aged just 17. Matthew Bellamy, who in June 2019 purchased the majority share of the company from Hugh Manson providing an opportunity for Adrian and Matt to take the company into the next exciting decade.
